The LAW OFFICES KNAPP & KNAPP, situated within its own building located in the downtown Willow Glen Business district of San Jose, California, is managed and conducted by DAVID W. "BUZZ" KNAPP, JR., JD, who has been a practicing attorney since 1970. DAVID W. KNAPP, SR., LLB, founded the firm in 1953 and set the high standards of professionalism which the firm enjoys. He is still associated with it and actively practicing "of counsel" and associate when needed.

The firm has its emphasis on estate planning, preparation of Wills, Testamentary and Living Trusts, all probate matters and administration, Durable Powers of Attorney, guardianships and conservatorships, all marital and family law matters, including, but not limited to dissolution or nullity of marriage, child custody, support, spousal support, property and debt issues, and adoptions.

It does not engage in any type of tax advice, tax practice or income tax preparation, bankruptcies, and worker’s compensation cases, immigration or criminal matters. In these matters we are ready to refer you to several competent counsel whom we feel specialize in such matters.

We have always felt that the legal practice, with its myriad of complications and confusion, must be tempered with a friendly, congenial atmosphere and hence we are gratified to say that almost all of our many clients soon become our personal friends. As such, we encourage them to consult with us on any problems concerning the law that they may be confronted with, no matter how trivial.

Our office hours are weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m; however, after-hours and out-of-office, rest home and hospital consultations can be arranged upon the necessity for same.
